Delivering a shoot used to mean three steps that rarely went smoothly: upload hundreds of images, wait for the client to type out file names, then send the final edits again. Here is a calmer workflow.
1. Send the whole shoot as a gallery
Upload the selection as one transfer. On the download page your client opens a full-screen gallery — RAW, HEIC and PSD files included, because previews are generated on the server.
2. Let the client pick favourites
Clients tap the heart on the images they like and press Send picks to sender. In your dashboard the picks appear as thumbnails in the transfer’s activity timeline, so you can start editing right away. Clients can also download only their favourites as a ZIP.
3. Ask for approval
Turn on Ask the recipient to approve in the transfer settings. Your client sees Approve and Request changes; whatever they choose reaches you by e-mail and notification, and the transfer shows a clear status: awaiting approval, approved or changes requested.
4. Notes on video at the exact moment
For films and reels, clients can leave a note pinned to the second they are watching — “music too loud at 0:12” lands in your timeline with the file name and timestamp.
5. Deliver the next version under the same link
When the edits are done, use New version on the transfer. The link stays the same, the client sees “Version 2” with your note about what changed, and earlier versions remain available if anyone needs to compare.
